Mr. Robertson represented a large South American contractor in a surety claim arising from the default of a subcontractor on this Corps. of Engineers' project.
Mr. Robertson represented the County of Nye, Nevada in a construction defect lawsuit against the general contractor and subcontractors involving defective HVAC equipment and resulting mold contamination. The courthouse was evacuated twice due to mold contamination. Mr. Robertson recovered $1,850,000 for the County.
Mr. Robertson defended the HVAC subcontractor, whose allegedly faulty smoke dampers were blamed for the rapid spread of the fire.
Mr. Robertson represented the owner of this manufacturing facility against the general contractor, who entered into a design/build contract with the owner. The case involved extensive cracking of the concrete slabs and foundations, which interfered with the owner's clean room and precision laser-cutting equipment. Mr. Robertson obtained a $900,000 judgment for the owner.
The Firm routinely represents this county water district, which provides retail and wholesale water supply services to a population of over 130,000 within a 30-square mile area, including the communities of Montclair, Chino Hills, portions of Chino and the unincorporated areas lying between the cities of Pomona, Chino Hills and Ontario. The firm has handled lawsuits for this water district involving defective water pumps, breach of contract and contractor default.
